Mymum was born in Ordsall in 1961, she met my dad had me and my brother and moved to Salford. Once in Salford she made MANY friends. She lived with type 1 diabetes for 21 years until it took hold of her and damaged her kidneys so badly that she became dependant on dialysis. She NEVER complained and would always have a smile on her face, she always put others before herself and was the SELFLESS person i've ever met. She was always concerned about the welfare of others and her children, my dad her friends and her family were the most important people in her life.
After months of trips to and from the hospital she was allowed to go home, she chose to go to my grans and stay there and on Sunday 5th March 2006 she died at her childhood home in my grans bed - she was 45.
What made it worse was that it was 2 days before my 21st birthday, I was devastated but didnt sit about trying to get over it as anyone who has lost someone will tell you you never get over it just pick up the pieces and move on.
I know she wont be there when I get married and bring my new baby home but she'll never be forgotton shes left me behind and will tell my kids all about my mum who, if I only become half the woman she was i'll know ive done well.

Hello the mother - how are you missing you lads and loads went out round numpty land last night it was a right laugh im just sick of half of emmerdale asking for the return of the gran since she graced them with her presence the other week.
